We're back

After a several year hiatis, we're back. We will be adding photos soon.

First Haircut.

Tonight J, G, and I took B for his first big boy haircut.  With his 1st Birthday just 10 days away, his hair had grown to what some may have referred to as a W.T. Mullet.  Needless-to-say, it was time.  Enjoy the photos.

Oooo la la!

and then we came home and put the little boy to bed -

WHAT A CHARMER!

Meet Beau

Here is our sweet Beau. And since he will be ONE soon, I guess it is time that he gets a post of his own. The cynicism is my way of hiding my embarrassment that I haven't posted about him earlier.  Isn't he CUTE!

Did My Nose Grow?

history to the story - a few weeks ago Georgia watched Pinocchio with her Uncle Rusty, Poppy and Grandma Susan.

This afternoon I found Georgia with a leg that had been colored yellow (so glad its washable). She looked a bit jaundice.

Anyway.

Me: Georgia, did you color on your leg?

G: No

Me: (this time sternly) Did you color on your leg?

G: (Immediately grabbed her nose, became concerned) Why Mommy? Is my nose growing?

In moments like these, its so hard to not laugh.

Where to Begin...

Where do you begin when you haven't blogged forever? It seems like starting in November '10 would be the natural place to pick up, since that was the month that our sweet Beau Lawrence (or as G calls him, "Beau Martin." I don't know where she came up with that one!) entered our world. But it has been 8 months. Is it too late to announce his birth? My sister and her family moved away in January so that would be another place to start...Although I'm still not use to them being so far away. Or do I announce that we sold our house (for the third and final time) in February and moved out in March, then moved into J's parents' home. I could pick up with June, when I got OLD - 30! July was a big month - my grandpa left a legacy and went to be with Jesus. The passing is still hard for me to type about, I really miss him. Or do I type about the fact that we will be moving to a place of our own in August?

I think I'll just start blogging again as though I never stopped. Just thinking through where to start has worn me out.

Little Miss Organization

When it comes to naps, Georgia is no longer interested. SAD (for Mom). Thankfully, she is willing to take a rest. We tell her to go to her room where she can play, look at books, etc. To our delight we end up finding her tucked in bed sound asleep.

Today I walked in to check on her. She was sitting in a cradle with her feet hanging over the edge. All of her stuffed animals in her lap, sucking her thumb. She pointed to her closet and said, "Where's my purple shoe." She had picked up her shoes in her room and lined them up. I brought in the purple shoe and completed her closet. She was overjoyed. So funny! I love our sweet Georgia girl!

Maybe she'll be blessed with her Aunt Melody's mad organization skills...just maybe.

Sneak Peak

We've had a several projects going on lately. Probably due to the fact that I'm in my "nesting phase." This is such a strange part of pregnancy. I catch my self being extra concerned about baseboards, blinds, tops of ceiling fans. I even caught myself clorox wiping some cabinets at work. Strange!

Some of the projects that have been getting our (maybe I should say, MY) attention: Halloween Costume for Georgia, the lil' Boy's room.

I'd like to give a shout out to my Mom and my sis for their help in sewing my first project with my new Janome. And finally, a shout to My Man for all his hard work in rearranging the kids rooms to prepare for our Jr.'s room (no his name isn't going to be Jesse).

Here are some sneak peaks of both the costume and the room.
